And not just farce, but expressly known to be false, months before Dubya

Look, even Clinton acknowledged that SH would need to be deposed eventually.
Removing him was the bottom line, even without the threat of WMDs. His mere
existence was a green light in my mind.

Clinton didnt propose an unprovoked invasion in defiance of the UN, and he
didnt endorse the removal of inspectors before their job was done, and he
certainly didnt advocate the murder of 100,000 Iraqi civilians.
If removing him was the bottom line, then Dubya should have made his case that
way. Instead, he deliberately and knowingly lied to the Congress and to the
citizens of the US, and he sent his toady Powell to lie to the UN, as well.
The fact that Saddam is a bad guy is, frankly, irrelevant here except by some
wild stretch of post hoc imagination. Dubya lied to get the country to
start an unprovoked war, and for that he should be impeached at the very
least.
Any explanation that doesnt begin with Bush should be impeached for his
crimes is nothing but a flaccid prevarication.
Dave!
