I guess I sort of find it sad that theres some negative connotations
forming about being educated or intelligent.
|
Merely because a person knows a lot about quantum mechanics or is an expert
on pottery from the Ming Dynasty doesnt make them any wiser than an old
hayseed from Tennessee.

Well, I totally agree, but thats really just saying that the two are unrelated.
Which is fine. Wisdom =/= Intelligence. But I just kinda find it sad that the
connatation forming on the Right is that Intelligence = Bad/Unwise/Evil.
Repeatedly calling your opponents intelligent or educated or what have you
sort of gives the implication that youre *not*, and that its bad to be so,
which is precisely the opposite of what I think is true!
