Dear Lego Enthusiasts! The German Legoland-Park in Günzburg/Bavaria opened its doors to the members of the Lego World Club and 500 "exclusive" guests from the 1000steine.de community yesterday. Thanks to the LLC bins and a friend with small child, I now have a half pound of tan 2x2 and orange 1x4. This was my entire collection for a few weeks. (The rest is far away.) Just so you know when looking there... many of those parts are overstock & overproduction (pieces made for set that were discontinued) and sometimes parts that were never released in sets (4L antennas in dark gray, for example). Euhmm, you got me there... Since i live in Belgium, i haven't got the chance to visit it. It's a white building with 3 black domes on top in the miniand section. Yes, the "Griffith Observatory" is in Miniland. If you enter Miniland near "Washington DC"....keep going along the side by where the Model Shop is, don't go over to the "New York/Manhattan" area. Lawrence, I stayed at the Residence Inn in Carlsbad in April of 2001. I was with my family, including 2 boys ages 7 and 9, and I was pretty happy with this location. Er, actually, the family and I already have lifetime passes for Legoland Windsor and can vouch that they are honoured at the other parks. We holidayed in California last year and they were accepted at LLC with absolutely no problem, as was an annual (...) I noticed that the Legoland in Germany is selling lifetime passes for 555 Euros each. The price might seem excessive....but think about it....unlimited trips to Legoland... plus 10% off at the lego shop...and you get to get tickets for discounted (...) Hi, I've seen pics of the Legoland landscapes on Brickshelf and some of the bricks used in the scenery looked worn out and old. I'll add a few more things. Note that LL CA isn't open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays until the summer. They just started this in Jan (they aren't getting enough business on those two days). I was wondering how much time we should allow for our visit, especially since we don't have children and probably will not go on many of the rides. (...) Hi, Just a "heads-up" for anyone intending to go to this - we went to yesterday's show and arrived about 3PM. The queue stretched out onto the public road and staff were turning away anyone without a pre-purchased ticket or season pass! Apparently (...)
