Today's (January 8, 2002) LA Times business section reports that LEGOLAND
will close Tuesdays and Wednesdays starting January 15 and continuing until
summer. This may repeat next year or until the economy improves. LEGOLAND
California is the smallest US theme park to maintain a full year-round
schedule and the only one of the 3 LEGOLANDs open year round.
Apparently this decision was made on relatively short notice. My son David
will be at a national competion in the park that I believe was scheduled for
a Tuesday morning in early March. Ah, flexibility is everything...
