Wench originally meant, 'young woman' in a positive context. I personally
attach the meaning 'beautiful young woman' or 'saucy and beautiful' young
woman' to the term (but occasionally have to explain that when I use it).
Now, if you start telling girls you're out wenching, that's a whole
different matter...
