Why would it matter one way or the other? That’s what I’m curious about. Is it like the reason why people like to read People Magazine?

What reason would organizers of AFOL events have to keep that information from the community?

They aren’t legally obligated to do so for one. It’s none of our business for two. It doesn’t matter one way or the other for three. Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.

I won’t rehash all of the arguments here. There are many reasons why people treat non-profit and for-profit entities differently - many were discussed in this thread about BF ‘06.

If there is no difference between them, when was the last time you made a donation to Target? I shop at Target all the time and I think they provide a valuable service - but I wouldn’t give them a donation or volunteer to work a register.
