  Re: Postscript converter

(...) Ha, you said it your self; in 3D it is not a question of what you place when but where, in PostScript it is the other way around. I afraid you'll get very Dali/Picasso like postscript-files. You even have to mind the part-dat-files and (...) (23 years ago, 6-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Not much to see yet, but I've uploaded an early screenshot and a very preliminary command reference (with lots of gaps yet): (URL) the next few weeks as development progresses I'll update this site with more screenshots. My tentative schedule is to (...) (23 years ago, 6-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Postscript converter

Jeroen: (...) That's the easy part (sort of). You just multiply all points with an apropriate rotation matrix and ignores one coordinate. (okay - and then there is a lot of "what's on top" questions) (...) The only solution I have been able to come (...) (23 years ago, 5-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Another idea

(...) Why don't you take a look at the LEdit keyboard shortcuts and perhaps give them a try. They're listed here and many of them work in Move mode in MLCAD. (URL) make some specific suggestions like in these old threads. (2 URLs) what would be (...) (23 years ago, 3-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) That's a neat idea. It's doable. (...) I really like that idea. It had never occured to me to make the main menu invisible, but it's trivial to accomplish. (...) What if all the commands can be renamed by the user? :) My goal is to make this (...) (23 years ago, 3-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) Gary, this sounds great! The best CAD keyboard interface I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot!) was that of the VersaCAD package of the late 80's. Every single possible command (I think) in the system was accessible by a single keystroke. And (...) (23 years ago, 3-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Another idea

(...) I would prefer developers of new CAD programs use key interfaces that make sense, and not ones hamstrung by idiosyncrasies of pre-existing software. I'm not saying LEdit's commands are good or bad (I wouldn't know, I've only used MLCAD). I'm (...) (23 years ago, 3-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Another idea

(...) Please, oh please make it "rotate x 90" (like "offset" command below). (...) I assume this is equivalent to "rotate y 180". (...) I think these probably need to be "snap [x|y|z] 20" as well, unless you're gonna implement them separately for (...) (23 years ago, 3-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) Cool, I love keyboard interfaces. Keep in mind that we already have a something of standard keyboard convention in place. The LEdit key commands. They may not be the best, but they're short and they're built into several of the CAD programs (...) (23 years ago, 2-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)
