K'nex is now available in .dat-file format! Over the past couple of months, I have built a library consisting of 17 parts and 8 primitives with which you can make virtual models of K'nex constructions. And of course it is fully renderable using L3P and POV-Ray. Check it out at http://home.ifriendly.com/~fourfarrs/knex.htm Now I have a couple of questions. Aside from cross-posting this message on some of the widest-coverage newsgroups, does anyone have any ideas of how I should go about finding people who like k'nex who would be interested in this? Does anyone know of K'nex newsgroups? I believe just about all construction toys can be made virtual using the .dat format and the LDraw family of programs. Thanks once again to James Jessiman for inventing such a flexible file-nesting system! (...) Blasphemer! Blasphemer! That's not LEGO! Just kidding. :-) Actually, this is really cool. I've been thinking for a couple of weeks of asking if anyone had made K'Nex pieces for LDraw.
