Well, as far as chains, I don't know. But for wires, flex axels, hoses and the like the "segments" of the parts are in the LDraw library. The best way, in my opinion, to create flexible segments in a model is to use Frederick Glockner's LDraw-Mode (...) (23 years ago, 19-May-01, to lugnet.cad)

Hey Kyle, I guess the "petition" thing was a bit misleading, but it's no big deal really. It's just a holdover from the previous incarnation of the LDMC site, which James Reynolds and I are trying to get updated as time allows. What was really meant (...) Steve, I took a look at it and enjoyed the work that was put into this pattern. Well if your useing MLcad, go to 'file' and select 'scan parts'. This will ask you if you want to add any new parts it finds to the directory. When I installed MLcad I had to do this twice before I had all the parts that were soposed to be there! (...) (23 years ago, 14-May-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

(...) Yes, a complete shortcut file should be created. A stub-file for the electrical wire has been submitted, you can use that in your shortcut. You should put the 'ferrit' (that's the electric leads, right?) in a separate file, and reference it in (...) (23 years ago, 14-May-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

I'm trying to build my first L-draw / MLcad model, and my first step was to use a 1x10 technic beam, and since my parts list only has 1x2 and 1x14, my virtual creation stopped before it started. I'll bet there is a simple way to convert the 1x14 (...) (23 years ago, 14-May-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

(...) Mklist.exe shouldn't need any fix. Are you sure you weren't trying to use makelist.exe? Makelist.exe is obsolete; it can only handle 1000 parts. Mklist.exe was released specifically to address the shortcomings of makelist.exe. Steve (23 years ago, 14-May-01, to lugnet.cad)

There should be an updated version of mklist.exe, called makelist.exe in your LDraw directory. Try running it instead, the problem might have been fixed. As well, LDraw Add-On, by Steve Bliss, can generate the parts list (And has a whole bunch of (...) (23 years ago, 13-May-01, to lugnet.cad)

I'm new to lcad, and I've got a 1 Ghz CPU, so I was getting the "Runtime Error 200" error. I downloaded the patch from (URL) THis fixed the problem on the LDRAW and LEDIT programs, but didn't fix mklist.exe. How can I get it to work? Is there (...) (23 years ago, 13-May-01, to lugnet.cad)

Don and Mark, I recently aquired partn number 6909 which is a 4 x 4 x 6 (?) Round Panel with Spherous Top. L3p does not seem to recognize the newer "LDlite" colors, including orange, tan, trans orange. For it to work use the color numbers in the list below. I've also added some other less-used colors. tan: 382 transparent-orange: 44 orange: 462 (...) (23 years ago, 12-May-01, to lugnet.cad.ray)

(...) I had this same problem when I first put this mpd in my /parts directory. Apparently, MLCad does not like mpd files in the /parts directory. I had to separate the mpd into its subparts.
