have you tested this approach? it seems like it would work, but the light sensor would have to be fairly far off the surface to get a wide viewing area. it seems it would also get a little hairy with the inconsistency of lighting to determine (...) (25 years ago, 25-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

my rcx works fine with a universal ac to dc wall outlet. it has a switch to change the voltage. i've got it set at 9v and it operates at 800mA max. i figured 6 batteries x 1.5v =9v. i think it was originally for a keyboard (musical instrument, not (...) You could always make a multiplexing circuit which does the thresholding and debouncing for you. Once the status of each switch has been turned into a binary state you could then use resistors to create a sort of D/A which works reliably -- just as (...) Hey thanks Bill! That makes perfect sense to me. I always think of 1972-73 as a milestone in LEGO History. They changed the LEGO logo, TLG bought back the lisencing from Samsonite (KKK came to the USA to help open TLG USA), the first of the Lego (...) (25 years ago, 25-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

There are definitely issues: with the beta, with the development version on my hard drive, and with my available time.
