My response would be to drop the mindstorm software. I hated it cause those red blocks won't let me put 2 in a program unless I use command blocks and even then it ticked me off. Josh, While I build mainly in the Town System, I have to agree with you on one thing. That is some of the new colors are nicely muted. I especially like the tan color. I would recommend you breaking up the set of items into smaller groupings. Keep the space stuff separate, and possibly even sell the gold bricks individually. It isn't hanging, it's a blocking read until it recieves some specified number of characters. You can use a non blocking read by specifying O_NONBLOCK, in which case read() will return immediately.
