I've been playing with some of those log bricks lately (mostly tan or
white), and when you stack them up, they give a nice "Art Deco"
appearance that a lot of old buildings in the 1920's and 1930's have -
sort of a "Terra Cotta" sculptured look that you see in building
fascades of that era..  I'm making an office building with a facing of
log bricks.

In fact, with the "Detroit Historic Downtown Theatre Tour" (12 theaters)
coming up in 2 weeks (where I'll be a tour guide again), I am expanding
the "entertainment district" of my Lego town to include not only 2 old
Deco movie palaces, but also a casino, an arcade, and several
streamlined Deco restaurants, and even a diner.

One of the reasons I'm on a Art Deco kick lately,  is because Detroit (I
live 11 miles from there) is finally getting its act together and most
of the 4.5 billion dollars in new construction going on now is in the
style of the 1920's - Art Deco style.  This includes an old time
Baseball stadium, a Football stadium, 3 massive Art Deco Gambling
Casino's (MGM Grand Detroit Casino, Circus Circus Motor City Casino, and
a  local group named Greektown Casino), as well as the continued
restoration of the 2nd largest theatre district in the USA (after
Broadway in New York), and some Deco office buildings.

I've got Deco on the brain!  (But it translates real well into Lego!)
