Kevin, what drives the order of images in a particular folder? Right
now it seems to be alpha.
It looks like images themselves are all assigned a unique numeric key,
with a record of the folder they are in... because an image URL page
seems to be of the form:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=786
(that's Fredrik's great Lemans)
while folders have the form:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=100
suggesting that they as well have unique numeric keys and you are
keeping what images go in what folders and what their names are, etc,
elsewhere.
Given that, is it possible to:
- specify image order within a folder other than by using the name?
- supply a prev and next URL on each image page?
or is that very very hard. Both seem like they'd be nice enhancements
(the second more so than the first)
Finally, it says beta, I assume that if something goes awry you may have
to turn off access but should be able to rebuild without requiring
everyone to reupload everything, right?

| (...) True. (...) True, the site runs off a database but... The files are stored in a directory structure of /gallery/username/fo.../image.jpg which is why you can access the images directly using that path. (...) If the user wants to specify an (...) (24 years ago, 13-Feb-00, to lugnet.publish)
