I don't suppose anyone knows what the PWM on the HB freqs thru different ranges.... i just need the min/max (0-100) thanks again Jeff (28 years ago, 5-Aug-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Polaroid Sonar, etc

Hi Jeff, (...) There are no schematics, per se, but there are directions in the cher/.../kent directory. The following excerpt is from the readme file there. It contains the information you need to attach the ranging module to the Handy Board. Hope (...) (28 years ago, 5-Aug-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

could anyone send me a message... i need to test my mailer... thanks (28 years ago, 4-Aug-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Polaroid Sonar, etc

Hello all! I've ordered the Polaroid OEM kit which should hopefully be in tommarow, and was wondering where i could find schematics for making it talk with the handy-board. I looked in the cherupahka/...../kent, which has some code, but no schems. (...) (28 years ago, 4-Aug-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Pulse Accumulator

Hello!, Is there a way to access to pulse accumulator subsystem of the HC11 using interactive C? And if so are there connections for it (Port A7) on the Handy Board (besides connecting it right to the HC11)? I have a pulse train signal coming from (...)   Memory/Sampling Rate

Hello everyone! I was wondering if there is a simple way to get more RAM on the HandyBoard...like an addition 32K? or maybe 128K? ---...--- Other question is about the sampling rate of the digital ports on the handyboard... I am getting about 335 (...) (28 years ago, 1-Aug-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: sonar sensors

Hi Sriram, To answer your question succinctly, yes you can use the sonar modules on the Handy Board without the expansion board. Infact, Kent Farnsworth has written up exactly how to do it with your existing HB. Instructions, code, etc. can be found (...) (28 years ago, 31-Jul-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Memory/Sampling Rate

(...) not easily. half of the lower 32k of the 6811 address space is consumed by the '138 circuit to generate 4 digital input and 4 digital output areas. it would be possible to have some kind of data memory area making use of the signals on the exp (...) hello everybody, iam new to this list so please bear with me if this topic has already been discussed. iam intersted in using sonar sensors to detect and avoid obstacles using IC commands. is it possible to use the handyboard without the expansion (...)   RE: 2-phase servos

Everytime I typed 'servo' in my original post I meant 'stepper'. I dont know what I was thinking... sorry. (28 years ago, 31-Jul-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  RE: 2-phase servos

Two comments for Garth (and others doing this) #1) You have 2 phase, bipolar *STEPPER* motors, not "servo" motors. The difference is quite significant if you were expecting a servo motor. A stepper motor has a coils positioned around the motor shaft (...) (28 years ago, 31-Jul-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  2-phase servos

I have two questions; The first is about a 2 phase, bipolar servo motor that I ordered from digikey. Since I have never used servos much before I was stumped when I recieved the motor and it had four wires coming out (Red, Blue, White, Orange) of (...)   RE: Bot vision

(...) This sounds more like what I was thinking of. I whanted the robot to be able to capture still pictures and send them through a digital link to the host computer. The idea was to design an expansion board for the HB that captured an imageand (...) (28 years ago, 27-Jul-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  RE: Bot vision

The limits on available user ram will make this difficult at best. If you can assume a 4K byte buffer for your image, that is only 64 pixels on a side, not much to work with. There are a couple of possible solutions however. One is the "ImageWise" (...) (28 years ago, 27-Jul-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

(...) I4m also interested in interfacing a CCD chi with the handy board. I have no previous experience with this particular component and I would appreciate any references that may help me get started. So far I just understand the basic operation (...) Has anyone tried using a CCD vision system with HandyBoard? If so I would like to know what you are using and how you went about it. Also, where is everyone? On vacation or something? :-) Thanks Larry ***...*** Larry Randall ***...*** If it works (...) (28 years ago, 25-Jul-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
