This discussion all seems silly to me.  Some people will want
separate lists, some will want all of them jumbled together.

Solution:  Create a separate list that has all of the other lists
combined.  Anybody that wants to see all of the lists can subscribe
there.  The list server itself will be subscribed individually to
all of the other lists.

Where to reply to if you are on that list alone is another question
entirely.  By default the list server should only send out to those
subscribed to it, not to all of the individual lists.  Anybody
wishing to respond to someone individually or to one of the specific
lists would have to look at the headers carefully to figure out
the addresses.

Of course, the new list server needs to send all of the header info
so we could figure all of this out.

(...) If all the list servers involved are setup correctly, then any message relayed through the "super list" will still look like it came directly from the individual list - ie: From: user@some.domain To: some.list@some.other.domain (28 years ago, 28-Aug-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
