One thing to note, not all servos are designed to turn 180degrees.
The ones designated as "retract servos" are designed to turn 180
degrees, the rest are designed for something around 90degrees.
Most can be modified to turn as far as you want them to go. Some
cannot turn more than 180 degrees, because that is all the gear they
have (the tiny Tower Hobby servos only have half a gear on the output
shaft).

(28 years ago, 10-Aug-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
