I'm sorry for the wait on this info. I just got confirmation from LL Fri night.
Here's what we have for now. Only a future big increase in guests beyond my
estimate could move the dinner to a larger space, but I doubt that'll happen.

I'm really excited about the Overlook location. The events coordinator was too.
Sunset should happen while we're up there. Much thanks to all who suggested it!
Between about 6:45 and 7:30 guests will have a chance to wander around a bit,
check out Miniland, etc.
The park will have closed at 6:00pm, so "crashing" may not be as easy as you
think. ;-)
Normally guests are not allowed in the park while it's dark. So we'll get a
special view of Miniland -- all lit up. The early portion of our wedding will be
on the east side of Miniland, latter on the west.
Currently, Todd and I have agreed to allow LL to invite press people. This
doesn't mean any'll necessarily come. We haven't anything to gain by this, so if
people may find this offensive, please speak up ASAP. I think we can still say
no.
Todd and I will arrive in Carlsbad on Wed or Thurs. We'll be there for at least
a week. We haven't booked rooms yet. We hope to rent a sporty red convertable.
Beyond this, I'm not sure what else to tell you.
