Hi folks, I took delivery of the first batch of 30 shirts of the rtlToronto "Blueprint" design this morning from the printer. Hi Everyone, I have a couple of suggestions for rule changes and updates for the monkeys. First, I would like to suggest a new rule that the monkey has to stay within the area defined by the width of the copper pipe on its side of the ladder at all (...) I've been reading all the different variations of rules the past few days, and I'd just like to know for sure what we are playing...... I'm used to Warhammer, which is far more (...) well, I'll give it one more day BUT it looks like from the VAST and over overwhelming replies to this thread that 90% of the train people think that its OK to use zero RCX's. if the microprocessor rule is going to be changed then I'd like to also (...) (...) I don't really like doing "me too" posts, but you are right there isn't any rules that say, RCX has to be used.... it does say however, that alternate processing methods cannot be used... (...) Well, I am. I see no reason at all why I shouldn't be able to use a dumb battery box. Its a six aa box, so the weight should be essentially the same as an RCX. Im using the micromotors to power the claws, and pneumatics to extend the arms, and i only have one pneumatic switch. If i was allowed to use a microscout, i wouldnt need another rcx... (...) (23 years ago, 21-Aug-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

I dont know what your problem is, ive just gotta finish one claw, hook up the pneumatics, and get another rcx, and another micro motor. then program it. But the basic idea is sound, and it works... btw, anyone got any designs for a claw less than (...) (23 years ago, 21-Aug-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Some thoughts: -on location: would it be cheaper to host in in a suburb or smaller city outside of Toronto? ie Mississauga, Oakville, or the other way, Oshawa, ? I've expanded this thread into local.canada in hopes of more Canadians to voice their opinion. Toronto (or anywhere else in Ontario actually) is quite the distance from Calgary, where I am. What sort of events would take place at a major lego get-together. Those of us (I'm slightly speaking for the group) in Toronto, think there would have to be some sort of major Robotics competition, AND large-scale Train Event/Show. I'm pretty sure (...) Hi all, Regarding the Monkey problem for rtlToronto9 - I had a few questions about the setup and rules: 1) Can anyone think why 5/8" dowel wouldn't serve as a substitutue for 1/2" copper pipe?
