I would say, get to a subway station (yorkdale) and take a train (hopefully
you will gey on a t1... or was that h6?) and

get off at Spadina, walk 2 - 3? blocks east on bloor
OR
get off at St. George, walk 2 - 3 blocks west on bloor

and you'll find Mel's...

Here's a good question...especially for Richard.

Here’s a good answer…especially for Benjamin.

Are you coming to the dinner?

I should be able to make it.
I'll likely be in the city earlier that day anyhow.
(If you consider York U in the city!)

Just one question though,
what’s the best route to drive from Keel and Steels?

             Sincerely,
                          --==Riçhärd==--

Hey Kung-Fu Dude!!

there are 3 ways (I think) that you could go.

Go down Keele St. to Lawrence (Turn Left, if possible).
Go down Lawrence Ave. to Dufferin St. (Turn Right).
Go down Dufferin St. to Bloor St. (Turn Left, if possible).
Go down Bloor St. approx. 3 to 4 city blocks....Mel's is on your left-hand side.

OR

Go (west-bound) down Steeles Ave. to Jane St. (Turn Left, if possible).
Go down Jane St. to Bloor St. (Turn Left, if possible).
Go down Bloor St. approx. 10 city blocks....Mel's is on your left-hand side.

OR

Go (east-bound) down Steeles Ave. to Bathurst (Turn Right).
Go down Bathurst to Bloor St. (Turn Left, if possible).
Go down Bloor St. less than 1 block...Mel's is on your left-hand side.

I say "if possible" because you may or may not be allowed a left-hand turn
at certain intersections at certain times of days....I am just reading a
map of Toronto....if anyone else has suggestions....

I look forward in seeing you.

(...) NOPE! (...) OKAY, 6-7 maybe (...) Except that it's between Bathurst and Spadina. 6 or 7 streets WEST of St. George, or 4 or so WEST of Spadina, or 3 or so EAST of Bathurst. 440 Bloor West; At the corner of Howland, I think. Jeff E (23 years ago, 17-Aug-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
