Well, my def'n of 'we' woudn't necessarily be "the US", for then it woudn't
be we, as in me... but I digress... ;)
I was thinking more along the lines of "if we (as in 'civilized society'
whether it be the UN, or such other institution) see atrocities taking place
somewhere in teh world--whether it be over fishing off the coast of the
Grand Banks, or exploitation of Alaskan environment for oil, or tin-pot
dictators beating up on their citizens, then what do we do about it?"
We're in the 21st century--the idea of autonomy is dead--what one of us does
on this little blue/green planet, affects the rest of us. So "we", each and
every one of us, has a stake in what others do, even if it's half a world away.
So again, what do we do about it?
