for bringing this topic to lugnet! It has been one of the most interesting
threads concerning the gray-topic since long time.
I myself have bought the 2004 mini ISD set for reference purpose, but I will not
buy more 2004 sets, since I really dislike the blueish grays.
Even the worse, I lost my trust in the LEGO company and their promises towards
us AFOLs. And when I now read they have to cut down further jobs, I feel pity
for the employees, but I am no longer willing to be really sad about it. Even if
LEGO would be completely overtaken by PLAYMOBIL, that would offer more chances
to the better than the "No chance of getting back the old gray" we have heard
from Jake and other officials.
The longer we have to suffer under the new gray, the more I feel upset about
that decision. That has been a kick into my face. I feel no longer as an
ambassador for the LEGO hobby.... :-((
