For myself, I will carry on buying sets. I may wish for old colors, or even colors they don't make (yet :), but I will make do with what I can get. I try to keep the fact that I am co-opting a children's toy to my AFOL needs in the back of my mind will attempting to keep my cool about these kinds of changes. But a thought crossed my mind about buying issues. What are the Lego parks model shops going to do when they need to buy parts for maintenance. Are we going to see strangely dappled creations in the parks as new colors slowly replace old ones as parts of the models have to be repaired or replaced. JB

(...) As I understand it, the models at LEGOLand are glued which would make it very difficult to replace just a few bricks if dammage occurs. I know the whole 'new colors' topic has been done again and again, but I was thinking today about the way it has affected my recent buying decisions. I was wondering if other people had been affected to the same degree. To be fair, I did buy one set (...) (21 years ago, 13-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping) !!
