It hasn't changed my buying habits at all. I don't buy a lot of sets, and when I
do I choose them mainly for the parts selection. All in all, buying sets for
parts isn't very efficient so I tend to favour bricklink to pick up unusual
parts.
That said, I have bought a couple of sets with the new greys. Bafflement over
the politics of the change aside, I quite like the new colours. The light grey
is close enough to the original be virtually unnoticeble, or at least it's well
within the variation that I see with bricks of various ages already. The dark
grey is quite different, but also quite nice.
I'll probably treat it as a unique colour in my sorting and building, but that's
ok. Fortunately, unlike orange or sand blue or any of those other unusual and
new colours, the greys will, and already do, feature in lots of sets and in a
good variety of parts in fairly short order. It didn't take me very long to get
a reasonable supply of the original dark grey (and let's face it, it hasn't been
around very long), so I expect the new dark grey will be no different.
Cheers,
Allister
