Absolutely.  I think the price point is excellent.  From the pics I've seen the
pods themselves appear to be blister packed, was that the case when you found
them?  If so I think that is yet another point in their favor.  Easy to rack and
see in the stores.... therefore easier to sell.

Yes, they are blister packed, with plastic on both sides. This makes them a bit
hard to open but also is quite tamper resistant.

I'll get my mom to help me.  ;)

I saw that but forget what it was made of.  Was it some kind of cordura nylon or
something?  Could a person handy with a sewing machine make a substitute
version?

No doubt, but it wouldn't be *pure*... :-)

Does *pure* mean sold by the LEGO company?  Or does *pure* mean manufactured and
sold by LEGO?  Or does *pure* mean made from ABS by LEGO company?  For me it's
more the third one than anything.  Other than instruction books and various
printed materials I'm not much interested in the purity of things that aren't
building elements.  That's why I don't worry about my storage boxes (and other
things just related to the hobby) being unpure.  :)

I just wondered if it wasn't something that a normal parent (handy with the
previously mentioned sewing machine) wouldn't be able to put together for a kid
who wanted one.  Just thinking out loud.

All the best,
Allan B.

*** I'm wondering if this thread should get a new subject line.  Something like:

"How have the new X-Pods affected your recent buying decisions?"

It seems to be something that most people are agreeing on.  :)
