Short term, my spending has gone up. I spent a lot of money at Dollar General and on clearance stuff at WalMart and KB - all 2003 and earlier sets. I did buy one 2004 new gray set (4492), so I could see the new colors in person and have some standing to complain to TLC. But after that, I haven’t bought any other 2004 sets, and don’t plan to.

I will probably continue to buy clearance stuff until it runs out, but after that, my spending will mostly be though Bricklink. If there was a Pick-a-Brick nearby (there should be one at Harborplace, BTW), I would spend a lot of money there on non-gray parts.

I know the whole 'new colors' topic has been done again and again, but I was thinking today about the way it has affected my recent buying decisions. I was wondering if other people had been affected to the same degree. To be fair, I did buy one set (...) (21 years ago, 13-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping) !!
