Re: New colors and other info

(...) The wacky colors, especially in 1x2s, look to be useful for decorating large Roman interiors and perhaps some exterior accents. However I still need endless quantities of white and yellow.. and brown.. if they mess with white.. (22 years ago, 20-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Petition against permanent color changes

(...) I've explained my feelings elsewhere. But two things i didn't mention i will do for sure: 1. Write to Lego telling about my disliking of color change; 2. STOP buying sets with this new colours. Oddly enough, i think i'll check Peeron first. Or (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Traumatic Events in the Life of a Lego Fan

(...) <snip> Well this is funny, and it did make me laugh, but most of these changes that you mention are improvements to the product line. Very few of these represent a step backwards in the consistency of the product. I know that you are mocking (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Why I support LEGO through thick and thin.

(...) Well, I'm not one for hugging, but I'll certainly give them a pat on the back ;-) Lego has certainly not stood still over the years. They've tried new things, they've revived old themes and sets, they've made a few mistakes, and had some huge (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: New colors and other info

(...) I agree with everything you have said. But one point of confusion is which "Light Grey" is being changed. Perhaps Jake could clarify this, but I believe the Light Grey that is being changed is the one from the Mosaic sets, sometimes called (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Petition against permanent color changes

Bob Hayes, 39 I AGREE THAT NEW COLORS ARE GREAT BUT REPLACING CURRENT COLORS IS A BAD IDEA. I just bought the new mini Star Destroyer set nice little set, nice new colors, but I want the old light grey and dark grey! I would be happy with just the (...)   Traumatic Events in the Life of a Lego Fan

The "it's grey, folks, but not as we know it" change has certainly provoked comments ranging from thoughtful through irate, and ultimately to the ludicrous and downright bizarre. Lego's apparent disregard for its fans is nothing new, and many (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, FTX) !!

Re: Petition against permanent color changes

(...) Matt Chiles, 32 I was considering entering a dark age as far as buying new sets since I already have more Lego than anyone needs. This will push me into it. :( (22 years ago, 20-Nov-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: New colors and other info

I just wanted to let the Lego Company know how disappointed I am. I won't bother to repeat what other people have said as to why this was perhaps the worst decision ever made. Just be aware that you have really let one of your customers down. Your (...) (22 years ago, 20-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, FTX)
