Hi :-) I thought a bit about all this stud talk and reached a conclusion: is not worth the effort. I mean, nobody includes a touch sensor in it's model, in this case a transparent touch sensor, if does not intend to use it. And if you want to use (...) (26 years ago, 29-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Is anyone else bugged by the DAT extension? Does anyone else use other extensions for various flavors of (near-)LDraw source files? I stick with DAT for vanilla LDraw files. For other files files, I've been using: LDL - LDLite extensions (especially (...) (26 years ago, 29-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Wow, cool. :) Now I just have to create a script to set the edge-color for everything to pure black. And I'm going to edit my stud.dat and stud2.dat files, to put pure-black sides on all the studs. It already does support RGB, sort-of. Use "ldlite -b17440512 foo.dat" to get a pure-black background. here is my thoughts on the part numbers... i know that the numver 7xxxx assigned to the harpoon for example refers specificly to the chromed version but if TLG releases it in say blue whos to say that they will not decide to use the same number? we (...) I've been 'testing' the CyberMaster version of the Electric Touch Sensor in POV-Ray and noticed a few details: I don't know if the contacts of the studs where yellow in some time in the past, but nowadays they are silver. Okay, so it is easy to display an MPD file, but what do people think about allowing part files to be MPDs? Is it true that L3P will now use L3GO bricks where available? If so, where should the L3GO part files be placed? here are some suggestions for the names of parts some are to make it easier to identify which part is being talked about... some are changes of category that are more logical because a part is not specific to one theme e.g. castle or space for (...) (26 years ago, 20-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
