Hi :-)
I thought a bit about all this stud talk and reached a conclusion: is
not worth the effort.
I mean, nobody includes a touch sensor in it's model, in this case a
transparent touch sensor, if does not intend to use it.
And if you want to use it, you must connect a plug in it, which hides
the studs!
So there's no advantage in drawing a better stud.
Now, there are a few details I think this group should evolve:
We nowadays have tools for rendering near perfect images that didn't
exist some time ago, and I'm thinking in POV-Ray.
LEGO has evolved also, and their 3D renderings are much better than
their paper instructions.
And LEGO already renders the electrical contacts SILVER!
On the other hand, I've reached the conclusion that opposite of what I
was thinking, their studs are not drawn hollow (sensor2.gif), besides
they went a big effort in drawing the interior of the touch sensor
(sensor1.gif).
You can also see that they round the axles ends (motor.gif).
They are seeking perfection, are we also seeking it?
