Hi Damien, I've downloaded your part and had a look at it using MLCad. When you look more exactly at the part e.g. zoom in to see details, you will see that not only that sub-parts are drawn wrong where the background is white and so we can see them (...) Hi Well, i think it's also possible to substitue some quads to the triangles. But i've made some tests with l3lab and there is no differences on rendering time between the triangle version and quad version of my disc. Does someone know how quads are (...) Sure, I know. But that is what I use now. What I would like is a tool that can directly export Illustrator format or postscript, for that matter, from LDraw in 3D! First I would like to point out, that some of the renderings I supplied specifically represent quads in GREY and tris in WHITE, and some have all the polys edge lines (the intrinsic edges) drawn, to be able to see the tesselation applyed. Another file - [3471.dat] This file has a lot of work on it, but still has some problems, specifically almost all the quads from the base are bowties. Bezier curves don't need to go through the control points (except for the endpoints) and Hermite curves also have the advantage of letting you specify the tangent vector for (...) Ok, fixed this problem. After a better and more careful look at what NTFilemon told me, I decided to create another LDraw directory within my current LDraw directory. I found some minor problems with some parts up for vote (okay, just a few little ones which John Vanzwieten missed :) ) these problems revolve around the classic space logo's leftmost edge --973p90 there are two partially overlapping triangles, one (...) Whoops, I hit the Post button a bit prematurely there... (...) files (...) This may be one of those Case sensitive filesystem issues. Do you have a case-insensitive filesystem (like fat32 or Samba) that you can put the DAT files on? I don't think (...) (25 years ago, 11-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Well, I wanted to participate in the part voting, so I decided to try and run l3lab on my RH linux, using wine. It did start up, and seems to work - but every time I try to open a file, I get messages "Could not fine xxxx.dat Referenced by ...." the (...) (25 years ago, 11-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)
