Like you said, rotating the pieces when the rotation point is not centered on the hinge is a bigger pain than getting the pieces into the right position. i have discovered 2 things with 99-04: 1.the gif image is wrong. it shows the forestmen and waiter torsos when it should not. 2.the yellow t-junction part needs to be fixed ASAP. the yellow lines are wrong. they do not line up with the yellow lines (...) I'm trying to decide where to set the origin for the SW hinge pieces. Normaly I would center a hinge piece on its rotation axis, to make it easy to rotate the hinge. However, the rotation axis for these hinges is 9 LDU below the top of the brick, (...) (25 years ago, 21-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

For transparent surfaces vs. edges, it matters even less: the edge must 'show through' the surface, or the renderer isn't working right. LDraw and LDLite both display transparent (...) I just noticed that when I view a sphere in LDLite in a front, side, or top view, half of the edge line is not drawn. This is true in standard or wireframe mode. In LDraw they are all drawn. I've noticed an error in part #30250, that was named "Brick 2 x 4 x 3 Notched with Side 5 x 4 Plate" during the vote. Just thought I'd mention that the wireframe view in LDLite is a great tool for part authors to check the edge lines and conditional lines in their parts before submission. Edge line omissions are usually much more obvious in this view, so take a (...) (25 years ago, 18-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
