Quick update: I'm in favor of these files (I need one of them for the
3x3x2 cone!) Last night, I asked the other members of the committee for
feedback.
Some corrections are needed on these files:
1. They should each have a standard header. Title line, Name:, Author:, and
status line.
2. The standard for 1-4 primitives is to use positive X and Z, starting at
Z=0 and sweeping counter-clockwise to X=0.
3. The conic primitive should have Y=1 for the inner edge, not Y=-1.
Two suggestions for the cone, not required stuff:
1. I'd move the conditional lines above the quads. This gives the edges a
better chance of being drawn, instead of being ignored.
2. I haven't tested this thoroughly, but I seem to get better results with
conditional lines on cones when the test points come from the outer edge,
rather than the inner edge.
(I'm not convinced that conditional lines will always correctly draw edges
on cones, so if anyone has more input on that topic, I'd like to here it)
