  Submission for MOTM/SOTM/POTM and Rachal closes in a week
 
Hi folks, we still seek some entries for the MOTM/SOTM contest: (URL) currently have three entries for the MOTM, many for the POTM and none for the SOTM. We will now only run these contests if there are a minimum of five entries and it is unlikely (...) (17 years ago, 21-Sep-07, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.announce) !

Thanks to an inquiry from Michael Heidemann, I've written a little utility called LDMerge. This makes sense as I agree that it's gotten a little silly to have only 2 entries up for voting some months, (albeit, this month in particular, really good ones) but I also think that the result of this currently is going to be that there will only (...) (...) Not sure if themes have to be enabled or not. However, it looks like the setting is bit 3 in a registry key. I think the answer is very easy. Linetype 1 is for referencing to an existing LDraw file, doesn't matter which type (part, subpart, primitive etc.) So it is not necessary to describe that in the MPD Language Extension. The new minimum-entries rule has inspired me to enter the LDraw.org Model of the Month contest. I have a few questions: 1. (...) I found the thread on the Inno Setup forums, and based on my reading, it sounds like a Delphi bug with owner-drawn TListBox controls. Bricksmith and LDView accept descriptive submodel names containing spaces, punctuation, and no file extension. I can't legally agree to that, and it's likely that a large percentage of the other authors can't either. The thing is, I'm not the sole author of LDView, and never have been. (...) The version I posted does not require Classic. It's an old CFM Carbon program (not Mach-O) that can run natively under both OS 8/9 and OS X. (...) Thanks. I eventually figured out how to get it to build. The trick was to build the two versions separately (ppc and i386), and then use lipo to join them. I'm trying to track down a few photos taken in 2001 of Don and Robyn Jessiman and some LDraw-folk while they were in DC for the fest. I've checked the obvious BrickShelf folders -- Bram, Lar, Steve Bliss, etc. -- to no avail. Does anyone either have (...) I realized that in my previous message, I never actually mentioned that I built the executable that I link to. You can find a command-line Intel Mac compile of MegaPOV 0.7 here: (URL) I tested it with the following command line: megapov +IBRICKS.pov I used BRICKS.pov from the above zip, and it generated the following two PNG files in under 2 seconds: (...) There's a little quicktime movie in there that probably accounts for most of the difference as the MPD files are quite small. So the (...) Dear fellow LEGO fans and LDraw users, I was deeply impressed reading how many would have supported BrickShelf with fees to keep the site alive. I got the script working for user backup, and Peter Bartfai (the author of the original script) also got one working for user backup (before seeing my email that I'd gotten it working). As noted (URL) here>, there is a BSBackup utility for Windows that helps you batch download the contents of Brickshelf galleries. (This is of interest at the moment due to Brickshelf's imminent closure.) I've written a quick hack to accomplish the (...)   Workarounds for two crash bugs in Mac LDView 3.2 Beta 1
 
So far, two bugs have been found in the Mac LDView 3.2 Beta 1 release that cause it to crash, and then subsequently crash every time it is launched.
