  Golden Astronaut helmets? and Breastplates?
 
Hi, I'm using MLCad to model an "Original Model" (6457 from 1999, sorry no scan on brickshelf) for the inventory and model repository; but with a few pieces, I'm pretty much stumped: 1) MLCad doesn't seem to have a color for those "golden" helmets. (...) It's a primitive, that you apparently are missing, Apparently it wasn't included in the latest update, but it is needed for the 2951 technics bucket. Take a look in cad.dat.parts.primitives, it should be there. Download it and place it in (...) (24 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

(...) That sounds very reasonable. But the cylinder isn't a part, it's a primitive. So to insert one, the user would normally use a text editor of some sorts, not an LDraw editor. The user, being an advanced user, would probably scale the element in (...) (24 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

Hi folks; I've tried a whole bunch of ways to get rid of unwanted pics. I put my Ledit/Ldraw files in my C:\ directory, and I can delete models as I please, but I cannot delete or move the files in the "Bitmap" folder. Whenever I try, it gives me a (...) (24 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

The part you were presented with just now is probably the exception: No other parts in the LDraw library should be scaled to other sizes than the ones they come in. But then again, (...) (...) Cool. That worked. I had to edit the MPD by hand, though, I could not just edit the matrix values in MLCad directly. I think I found an MLCad quirk though. (...) What do you mean by "LDraw won't load the file"? Does LDraw crash? Does it only render the model partially? In the latter case, the problem may be the use of MPD or other extensions which are not supported by LDraw. Or the problem may be line (...) (24 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

I've finished a couple of models. Looking back I realize that I used names for sub models that may not mean much to anyone else. Is there a protocal for filenames, sub models, etc.? (...) No, LeoCAD doesn't need any external programs to save POV files but if you have LGEO installed, it can use it to create higher quality renderings (L2P.exe is never used, everything is done internally). I'd recommend you to have LGEO, as each (...) (24 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

I'm trying to make a rendered image of my microfig space ship. I was planning on making 4 seperate models in mlcad and then combining them into one file so I could then render the whole ship. Has anyone else had problems with large models when trying to move the view? (zoomed in on model, needed to scroll in the view window to work on another section) I decided to throw together a rough Death Star Trench with the X-Wing, Darth's Tie, and (...) (...) Oops. I'm sorry if I was being vague. It looks like you have repositioned it so that the other end hole is in the origin. I meant that you should _center_ it in the origin. What happened to The Lgeo homepage? I haven't used ldraw or pov ray in about 3 months. I had Lgeo on my computer and Pov ray would access it to render a file after I used l3pao. Is there a way to make a render of a dat file without the lgeo parts? (...) (24 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

This part looks good to me! Thanks for your work. Before you submit it, though, I'd like to ask you to reposition it so that it is centered in the origin. Compare it with the part 32017.DAT.
