Yes, it's OK to post sets where some of the pieces are missing.  If
possible, substitute a similar piece, but use a contrasting color, to make
it clear that a substitution was made.  Adding a comment about the right
piece is a good idea, too.

The color chrome doesn't seem to be an option in MLCAD.  I've used gray for
all of the crome pieces for these two models.  Is color substition ok if the
color used in the set is not available in the cad software?

Color-code 383 is used for Chrome.  You can use this color in MLCAD by
selecting the piece, clicking the More button on the color toolbar, and
entering 383 in the text box.
