I don't think that you could really keep that in control. If I had some
problem with you, and started publicly insulting you, I'd expect that you
may want to defend yourself. If you couldn't you could just start your own
thread to get back at me.
I don't think this is a problem that needs technical solution. If there are
some people that are flaming inappropriately or annoyingly, the usual
methods (temporary or permanant loss of posting priveleges) would work fine.
We (well, the admins) just need to warn those people and then follow through
with the consequences.
