I built an impromptu car for it at our get-together in August. I went with an 8x24 *baseplate* as the bottom of the car; I was able to reinforce it with a technic beam along either edge. I kinda thought we'd put on new trains by setting them at the top of the ramp and letting them zip down on their own. You know, I completely bafflegabbed that message. The joint between Ramp 1 and 2 is exactly *6* bricks. However, that does indeed mean that the joint between the 2nd and 3rd curve segment on that turn is 4 bricks, so we're good. Me not talk so good. (...) Looks great, Dave! Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier about track heights. The joint between Ramp2 and Ramp 1 is exactly 4 bricks elevation. "Standard" track height on the layout is 1 plate (to allow curves, switches, etc). I adhere to the (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jan-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
