The same goes for one piece palm trees and juniorized parts.  Don't you
dare disagree openly about anything lego does.  What do you think this is, a
user's group?

It's not Lego's job to make toys for you adults.

Nor is it Lego's job to conform to your ideals.  If I felt that Lego was • making
something that was against my beliefs on what toys should be, I wouldn't buy
them.

Jeff

And that, my friend, was the start of this whole post.  I don't buy the
sets with what I consider "dark" minifigs, i.e. UFO, Insectoid, whatever the
aquazone baddies were called, etc.  I believe it was a big mistake that
alienated (no pun intended) a good customer base of parents and educators who
wanted fun loving toys for their kids, as opposed to the Power-Ranger-Mutant-
Whatever's-Passing trends.  These all made their appearance in my "dark ages"
and I recall commenting how Legos aren't the same as they used to be.  Time
Twisters was such a turn-off compared to the great space themes and forest
men.
But I believe in what I think the core principle of Lego toys are.  That of
creative, constructive, every day it's a new toy.  I don't think the
simplistic answer of, "1) Throw out the bad stuff or 2) Don't buy," is a good
solution.  It's also important to say why you do what you do, in order to
change the system.
I have a right to express my ideals just as anyone else does because it's a
consumer driven market and I'm a consumer.  If Lego doesn't listen to
customers, than they will go belly up.  Our whole history is a war of ideals.
I just happen to disagree with some of yours.

My 1.5 cents
Markus
