In lugnet.general, Aaron West writes about minifigs with boobs:
> Ignoring all this suggests that little girls should be ashamed of growing up.
I agree.
> No they should not expose themselves (neither do the minifigs), but they
Why?
> should have role-model characters that are not afraid of looking like a lady.
You mean like an adult female, right?
None of the minifigs look sexual in any sense. And, not to suggest that I am
in any way disturbed by any of this, but if I were to be disturbed, here is
where I stand:
- Lipstick is an artificial and repulsive sexual identifier, while enlarged
mammaries are neither. There is nothing wrong with kids knowing that women
have breasts. There is something wrong with kids thinking that women must wear
colored grease on their face to be properly atired. Get rid of lipstick minfig
heads if you want to get rid of something.
- "Bad guys" with classic smiley heads are much more creepy than scarred
frowning faces. If you want to take the LEGO high road, I think you should be
against portrayal of all violent conflict resolution. (i.e. weapons)
my $.02,
Chris
