...I'd be intereted to hear what people's opinions about inter-racial (inter-ethnic?), inter-religious and inter-national (i.e. people from different countries) relationships. With today's internet as well as world-wide transportation, I'm assuming these are much more common than a hundred and prolly even fifty or twenty years ago. Some people feel it's fine and great, other disagree for traditional or other reasons. What about you? -Shiri (who could write for hours about this, but will first wait for response)

Why do you ask? Is someone giving you a hard time because of a "non-traditional" relationship? By the way all my relationships have been inter-xxxx ( as Larry calls them). This is a very complex question, which really comes down to a persons priorities. For example if a Christian and a Jew want to get married several questions arise. Will the ceremony be performed by a priest or a rabbi? Will dietary laws be obeyed by (...) (23 years ago, 2-May-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Ideally: I want to live in a world where we wouldn't have a question like this. Reality: That still isn't the world we live in, but the world is what we make of it! :) I am proud to say that I am the fine product of all three factors: Arab father / (...)
