Hear hear.
I think it's a testimony to your upbringing (that is, to your parents) and
your own inner strength that you have risen above the prejudices of others,
for the most part, anyway.
We cannot eradicate injustice or prejudice throughout the entire world by
waving a magic wand, no matter how much we want to. But we CAN ensure that
we raise our children to be just and not to prejudge as best as we are able.
Preaching to the choir here, I suspect that just about every reader of this
group that has children is doing just that. But it bears repeating in case
there are any who aren't.
