...I'd be intereted to hear what people's opinions about inter-racial
(inter-ethnic?), inter-religious and inter-national (i.e. people from
different countries) relationships. With today's internet as well as
world-wide transportation, I'm assuming these are much more common than a
hundred and prolly even fifty or twenty years ago. Some people feel it's
fine and great, other disagree for traditional or other reasons.

What about you?

I probably will have more to say later. For now:

- Statisticial analysis of census data seems to indicate that inter-xxxx is
on the upswing at least in the US, across all types of xxxx but that the
rate of increase varies by type of xxxx (1). This bears out your surmise.
Some factoids were that inter-xxxx is more common for asian and latino than
it is for african american, for whatever reason, and that it's more common
on the coasts (where the ethnicities are more well mixed).

- I find the above a good thing. People should marry for love or
compatability or whatever and not because the person they are partnering
with happens to be the right xxxx.

- I don't have data on what trends are like elsewhere.

1 - man that was an awkward sentence to write.
