The Black Thunder wasn't part of the 1999 product line, at least it wasn't in the dealers' catalog according to another AFOL who works at a local toy store. How about the Technic droid sets? The 2000 catalog scanned at brickshelf.com doesn't mention a release date for these sets as mentioned for the larger system/UCS sets (July 2000), so I figured they would be available the same time as the 1st batch (...)
