Re: [CW] Domain Name, server ...

<snip> (...) Well I have been stuck in airports for the last 2 days so I have missed quite a bit. I do have a few suggestions here though. 1. I think pair.com is great it is where the NELUG site ( (URL) is hosted and I have been very happy with (...) (25 years ago, 20-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Yet more pics of the ever growing city

  Re: [CW] Domain Name, etc.

(...) Correct me if I'm wrong here ... can I get it for $35? 0 (URL) then there is the fee for having the URL catcher at namesecure.com. I think those are the fees that are necessary for right now. I am not really aware of any extra ones UNLESS we (...) (25 years ago, 21-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: [CW] Domain Name, server ...

(...) Or, you could do what a lot of "free" places on the web do. Have a base service level that is free. And offer other services for those willing to pay a fee. This could be increased disk space, more functionality, maybe an @castleworld.org (...) (25 years ago, 21-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

[CW] Combining Stories over great distances.

I just had an idea and I don't remember anyone posting it before so I thought I would even though someone must have thought of it before. Many of us live close to at least one other member of CW and in my case I live near Jeff Johnstone, Shiri Dori, (...) (25 years ago, 21-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Hill landscape...

(...) Shiri, I have actually done quite a bit creating hill's. Unfortunately most are a lot bigger than what you are doing. Strangly enough the only hill landscape I ever posted was for my Star Wars Rebel Base which was built into a hill side. (URL) (...) (25 years ago, 21-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

Thoughts on using yellow for a castle...

I fianlly started construction on my walled city. I started on the gate house, and the front wall. I was building in gray. Very early in the building process, it became painfully obvious that I just don't have enough gray... As I was sitting there (...) (25 years ago, 21-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Thoughts on using yellow for a castle...

(...) I love the Yellow Castle myself. As far as using Yellow on a large scale I say why not! I personally have more Gray now than any other color thanks to a bunch of Gray Service Packs I bought last year. I think any color done right would look (...) (25 years ago, 21-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Thoughts on using yellow for a castle...

(...) I bought around 50 of the service packs last year. Which is 700 2x4 bricks alone. Unfortunately there are not as many 1xX bricks in the packs so I am running low on 1xX's now. I still have a lot of 2xX's though so my limiting factor for the (...) (25 years ago, 21-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Thoughts on using yellow for a castle...

(...) Wow! That's a lot of gray. I have to believe that out of the 7 1200 piece tubs I have, I should be able to come up with plenty of yellow for the time being. I also plan on trading a lot of the bulk colors I don't need no for more yellow. (...) (...) (25 years ago, 21-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)
