Re: Has "Orange" to be in a Subpart although not dithered?

(...) For reasons of strict compatibility, colors in part files are limited to 0-16, 24, 32-47, and 256-511. Any of the 'post-LDraw' color codes (17-23, 24-28, 57, etc) are not allowed. So for orange, you need to stick with the dithered version, (...) (22 years ago, 6-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Has "Orange" to be in a Subpart although not dithered?

Re: Minifig Head with Messy Ice Planet Hair Pattern

(...) liked to call him "The Ice Planet Kid". (...) I seem to remember that some early Divers sets had the Ice Planet head. 'Early' as in a few heads accidently got mixed in, or they were using up left-over supplies. I've never been able to (...) (22 years ago, 25-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Naming of springs parts

(...) The spring is actually a part (assuming LEGO assembles their own pneumatic elements). So it should have its own number. I've emailed you the details a few minutes ago. Steve (22 years ago, 22-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Modelise inner details or use more standard primitives ?

(...) I think the way it exists now is best. How noticeable is it that the sphere has no holes in it. Even if the part is transparent, the fact the the holes do not pass through the sphere is barely noticeable. Plus since this part is small in size, (...)   Re: Modelise inner details or use more standard primitives ?

(...) I think having the interior open would be a good thing for this part. However, we're rapidly approaching 1000 files backlogged on the Tracker. So I'm getting more willing to let stuff through that can be improved later. Steve (22 years ago, 22-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Modelise inner details or use more standard primitives ?

(...) There was this unofficial generic rule that details smaller than 1 LDU may be omitted. I don't know if it is still valid. Another good rule, always valid, is common sense... :o) /Tore (22 years ago, 22-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Modelise inner details or use more standard primitives ?

  Naming of springs parts

I have modelised a the pneumatic pump. I have created two complete assemblies in two different positions. This part has a spring, so I have created two springs with different extensions.
