I'm not sure the part authors will be able to help you, but my knowledge of
LDView probably will. After looking at it in LDView (without actually
trying to read your DAT code), I believe the problem is that you have a
T-intersection, and the conditional line spans the entire top of the T.
In general, T-intersections should be avoided if possible. LDView's
smoothing algorithm is written in such a way that if you have one, you won't
get smoothing. The solution is to split the region "behind" the visor hole
into 2 triangles and a quad, instead of just a triangle and a quad. Also,
you'll need to split the conditional line into two pieces.
I really can't describe this very well, so I've made a sketch with current
layout and suggested changes that will hopefully help. You can find it here:
