Hi, OK, who of you has a _very_ complete parts database? I'm tired of getting all those "Part xxxx not found" messages and locating & downloading them one at a time is a pain. I was looking for the parts that came on the Sopwith Camel. Well, while looking at 6205 the Tile 6 x 16 with Studs on Edges, I noticed all the stud4.dat subparts were too low. (...) That's normal behaviour. Since the edge primitives are only lines, they draw in color 24. Generally, in part files, you pass color 16 to them, and they draw the 'main' edge color. Yours comprises the two quadrants in the -z direction - for consistency I believe it should comprise the two quadrants in the +z direction. This already exists in the (...) I don't think that part has been made yet, but just becuase I don't think so, doesn't mean it hasn't. I don't keep too up to date on what parts exist (...) I'm in need of a part. It can be found in almost all of the Life on Mars sets (such as set #7311) as well as the AT-ST. It's the 1 x 2 locking hinge brick with 1 finger on one end and 2 on the other, but has no studs. I'm afraid this is the best (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jun-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

I've been cadding the UCS X-wing fighter, and much to my surprise, the canopy piece HAD been modelled (somewhat complicated) but this part hadn't. It was pretty simple. Hi all, While making the "Roadsign Clip-on 2 X 2 Square", as seen in the AT-ST, I just used the 890 (and 892) by John VanZwieten and discovered 2 gaps in the clips in suppart models 890s01 and 892s01. It was made to match the 1 x 4 x 6 Window (3 sectioned), which has been used on later model sets, such as the Police and Res-Q HQs, bank (or should I say "branch office"), and the McDonald's set. (...) Yes, a complete shortcut file should be created. A stub-file for the electrical wire has been submitted, you can use that in your shortcut. Don and Mark, I recently aquired partn number 6909 which is a 4 x 4 x 6 (?) Round Panel with Spherous Top. I can't help but notice how similar it is to 6002 and was wondering if you two were going to try to make that part also. I tried a little, but (...) I'm having a little trouble loading this as a part in MLCAD. When I load it on its own it's okay but when you use it in a Model the bow moves away from the side ribs. Does anyone else have this problem. Other than that it looks good. (23 years ago, 10-May-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Just to prove I haven't been idling, here's another version of the Explorien symbol-and-planet logo. This one is an odd size (approx 10 times bigger than the logo on the 2x2 tile), and is in MPD form. I used a scanned image as the basis, putting it (...) Ok I dug up the hires ring generator program I made when I did 30056.dat and generated hires versions of 1-4rin18.dat 1-4ring9.dat so now it's all there in glorious hires with no ugly seams. 0 FILE 6002.dat 0 part 6002 round Panel 6 x 6 x 9 with (...) I've now added the optional lines - looking at other heads in the parts dir I could find no special handling of the optional lines depending no matter what the head pattern so I have used the same format. Since I noticed this uses bits of the only piece I ever made, I felt compelled to check it out. Looks nice. One thing though. I used the hires primitives in the p\48 subdirectory for 30056.dat.
