Ok I dug up the hires ring generator program I made when I did
30056.dat and generated hires versions of 1-4rin18.dat 1-4ring9.dat
so now it's all there in glorious hires with no ugly seams.

(...) You might want to consider submitting those new hi-res primitives for inclusion in the next parts update, they could probably be used in other files as well. (24 years ago, 9-May-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
  6002, similar to 6909?
 
Don and Mark, I recently aquired partn number 6909 which is a 4 x 4 x 6 (?) Round Panel with Spherous Top. I can't help but notice how similar it is to 6002 and was wondering if you two were going to try to make that part also. I tried a little, but (...) (24 years ago, 13-May-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

(...) Just to test this out I dug up Travis Cobbs' hires sphere from about 8 months ago in (URL) and pasted it in. I also substituted the other hires primitives from the p\48 subdirectory. I think it looks much better except of course for the (...) (24 years ago, 7-May-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
