I'd like to propose an official license for the LDraw parts, I think this is something that has been mentioned before but we didn't get very far in the past. This is important now that there are plans to create am LDraw CD-ROM and I need this (...) (24 years ago, 17-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad.dev) !

Well, why don´t you raytrace the models? Use POV-Ray or try Lightwave for it. For use Lightwave, you need a converter to convert from *.DAT to *.LWO. (...) A cool element would be a 16x16x4 part which is intended to support a baseplate. 4 of them of course would be used to support a 32x32 baseplate. Probably off-topic, but I just wanted to tell that there is an LDS command called PIPE. You can build a static tubing by entering a series of "discs", or rather 4-4edges. LDS then fills the space between them a thus makes a pipe. Just a nonsense (...) (24 years ago, 16-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad)

Okay, so if we do build canals, what are yours gonna be like?? I've been wanting to build one since the working lego ones i saw at legoland, but who has the grey bricks to do the side walls?? Here's 30473, a variant of 6024, found in <set:4291>. I modified 6024 to remove the island, re-stud the road, and remove studs at raised corners. I like it. But there is a small problem with this file and the unpatterned bird. There are 2 lines that have a space between one number and the next (search for 3- to find them). This causes ldlite to give a syntax error and it causes ledit to give (...) (24 years ago, 15-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Instead of developing a lock plate with a fixed width, why not create a 'bluff' plate--the equivalent of one of the proposed lock plates, but cut in half lengthwise. I have just done my first Pov-Ray rendering using LP3. It has turned out nicely except for the fact that it is very small. Can I increase the size of the model in MLCAD/Ledit? This primitive is one octant of that sphere with three faces "planed/smoothed off" so that the resulting object will fit inside a cube (...) It is not part of a sphere. It can be thought of as a virtual cube which has had one corner sliced away in a curved fashion. OK, I've finished this primitive, but before I re-submit it, I need to know a couple of things... Just what do I call the DAT file? On my PC's hard drive, I'm calling it "RND-CRNR.DAT". all of the parts are available for the 8448 except for the wheels, I dont know about the other 2 sets, I think that all of the parts for the 8445 are available but I think there are some missing for the 8444.
