Karl, I don't know about the barcode set, but I have both of the other ones. If you need gears, go for the shuttle, if you can still get it. It's got loads of them. I wrote him several emails. He figures 16 cents per brick to be a fair price. I told him that is higher than retail price and his stuff is used. It looks like I have most of the problems solved. However, one serious problem seems to be related to the length of the command line. Yes, but 8448 is a 99 set. For 2000 there are now five holed and a fifteen holed beams with no studs (and rounded ends), which appear to be a replacements for the 5 and 15 holed studded technic beams. They are standard (even multiples of 1 "stud length") sized, as are the flex tubes. If you're a 'collector', then the boxes are important, but since I'm a builder (not a collector) and have no intention of selling my LEGOs, I don't save the boxes ... but I do save the back panel from most boxes since they show alternative building (...) I've started out with the rcxport of Scott Lewis (www.slewis.com/rcxport/) and made a little console application with it that accepts a port identifier and a value as parameters.
