Karl, I don't know about the barcode set, but I have both of the other ones. If you need gears, go for the shuttle, if you can still get it. It's got loads of them. Yes, but 8448 is a 99 set. For 2000 there are now five holed and a fifteen holed beams with no studs (and rounded ends), which appear to be a replacements for the 5 and 15 holed studded technic beams. Hello, I've made something like that in java. I've started out with the rcxport of Scott Lewis (www.slewis.com/rcxport/) and made a little console application with it that accepts a port identifier and a value as parameters.
