  Lego trains and the RCX
 
Has anyone tried running their 9v train set off of the rcx? I did it over thanksgiving with limited success. At full power out of the rcx, the train moved only about 1/2 speed (rcx 1.0 plugged into the lego train's ac wallwart). I haven't measured (...) (25 years ago, 2-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Here's the length I came up with. I measured from axle to axle, which should give you working length, instead of end of chain, which is a little too long. And I don't have an LU rule long enough to measure 108 links. :) links | LU | cm | inches (...) (25 years ago, 2-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Has anyone used the Polaroid ultrasonic sensor kit, as sold by www.robotstore.com? It seems capable, although expensive, with two sensors for about $150. Very unlikely. THe 2400 bd serial signals are 'NAND'ed to a 38kHz carrier and the resulting signal is sent out via IR.
